The niu Sparrow is the first hotel of the NOVUM Group to open in Regensburg.
The niu growth engine is going full speed ahead, with over 35 niu hotels currently planned. One of these exciting projects is the niu Sparrow in Regensburg, located at Kirchmeierstrasse 8. The design for the new hotel of this unique midscale brand is being jointly developed by NOVUM Hospitality and the interior designers Bachhuber Contract GmbH & Co KG. The niu Sparrow is thus the first hotel of the NOVUM Group to open in Regensburg and offers a perfect starting point for seeing Regensburg, with the railway station, cathedral and city centre all within walking distance. The current plan is for guests to be able to check into the 258 rooms from August 2019.
niu Sparrow is a typical niu: a genuine one-of-a-kind hotel that tells a story inspired by its location and the spirit of the age. The niu Sparrow reveals the many sides of Regensburg – from the flourishing Mediaeval trading metropolis in its interior to Economy 2.0 in its technological facilities. The open-plan yet cosy Living Lobby contains antique-modern as well as rustic-showy elements. By contrast, modern purism combined with Mediaeval architecture predominate in the rooms – such as the extraordinary wallpaper depicting Regensburg Cathedral in Gothic style. The red eye-catchers paying homage to a colour that is ubiquitous in this city are a special cherry on the cake – and perfect for taking selfies for Instagram & co.
Flatscreens, USB ports, any number of power sockets and high-speed Wi-Fi are available for guests everywhere and at all times. However, it isn’t only digital natives who are inspired by niu: everything here is connected and alive. Whether local or globetrotter, young or young-at-heart – here in this homey atmosphere, everyone’s welcome to sample the seasonal and regional dishes and beverages, to take part in the different events, or to relaxedly surf or work against a background of laid-back music in the Living Lobby.
