airBaltic served 174,564 passengers in January

The airline carried 174,564 passengers in January its network spanning Europe, Scandinavia, Russia, CIS and the Middle East.

RIGA – In January 2013, Latvian airline airBaltic operated 3,299 flights, or 7% less than in January 2012 when airBaltic operated 3,553 flights.

The airline carried 174,564 passengers in January its network spanning Europe, Scandinavia, Russia, CIS and the Middle East.

Martin Gauss, Chief Executive Officer of airBaltic: “After a successful year in 2012, with results considerably better than planned, we have also achieved a very strong January in terms of revenue. This has encouraged us to introduce six new routes for your sunny holiday in Olbia, Larnaca, Malta, Rijeka, Heviz-Balaton, and for your trips to Prague.”

The airline’s load factor, which represents the number of passengers as a proportion of the number of available seats, in January 2013 was at a level of 59%.

The 15-minute flight punctuality indicator for airBaltic was at a level of 84.5% in January 2013. This means that 84 of every 100 airBaltic flights in January departed at the planned time or with a delay of no more than 15 minutes.
