Amadeus massive search technology powers innovative United Airlines shopping application

United.com’s new front page search feature is currently available for select U.S. domestic city pairs in Economy class. Future releases will provide instant pricing for additional routes, including international, as well as premium cabin searches.

MIAMI – Thanks to next-generation massive search technology from Amadeus, a leading provider of advanced technology solutions for the global travel industry, travelers can now find the best bookable online fares from United Airlines faster and easier.

Amadeus' industry-leading search and transaction online search technology does the heavy lifting behind the scenes, enabling the airline to quickly and easily deliver its lowest available fare options to customers earlier in the shopping process. Customers shopping on United's website can see the lowest airfares for their desired city pair simply by hovering over the return date calendar, comparing departure date options even before submitting their full itinerary search.

Massive search technology has the ability to significantly evolve how consumers shop and book their air travel, following more the natural path of how they imagine ideal trip planning, according to Ilia Kostov, Chief Commercial Officer, Airline IT, Amadeus North America.
