ATPI launches expansion into high arctic with new Murmansk office in Russia

Operating in the heart of Russia’s north, above the Arctic Circle, the ATPI Group’s new franchise partner office has been established to serve the growing number of energy and shipping companies working throughout the region.

Continuing to expand its global footprint, leading travel management company, the ATPI Group has opened a new office in the north western Russian city of Murmansk to support the company’s ambitious plans for the high arctic; a region it sees as having an extreme amount of growth potential.

Operating in the heart of Russia’s north, above the Arctic Circle, the ATPI Group’s new franchise partner office has been established to serve the growing number of energy and shipping companies working throughout the region. As well as network partner offices throughout the world, growth of wholly-owned offices within the ATPI Group is based on the destinations and industry sectors most relevant to the Group’s clients and is behind the strategic expansion of the business.

Targeting clients in the regional cities of Arkangelsk, Petrozavodsk and St. Petersburg, staff at the new office will coordinate travel related services and provide on-the-ground assistance in a region well known for its lack of infrastructure, and harsh climate.

With an extensive amount of experience moving people and crews around extreme Arctic conditions, the new Murmansk office will seek to capitalise on the many companies who operate in the far north in need of a specialist travel provider.

ATPI Group CEO Graham Ramsey commented: “Expanding our market-share in the global shipping, oil and gas sectors is an ongoing commitment of the ATPI Group in order to service our ever growing client base. North western Russia is an area that we see as having great growth potential and although the high arctic can be a challenging region to work in, the Murmansk operation has the experience to deliver trusted support to our existing travellers and new customers who may require our specialist travel services within this remote region.”

Oleg Nikolaychuk, ATPI Group’s Managing Director in Russia commented: “With a well-established presence across Russia including regional offices in Vladivostok, Moscow and Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, the addition of the new office in Murmansk serves to underlie one of the areas where our clients need our support more than ever before, the high arctic. Our highly trained travel consultants are thrilled to be operating in what is a booming region for energy and shipping clients and are eagerly looking forward to reinforcing the expertise and specialisms that the rest of the ATPI Group business in Russia is so well known and respected for.”

The ATPI Group employs 1,400 people worldwide in over 60 offices worldwide, and has successful operations in corporate travel, shipping and energy travel, corporate event management and online travel technology.
