bmi regional rolls out ‘Silver Service’

Fliers to enjoy complimentary champagne and chocolates; Airline celebrates Silver Airline of the Year Award.

bmi regional, the UK’s most punctual scheduled airline, will roll out a special ‘Silver Service’ across its 18-jet fleet this month to celebrate winning the prestigious Silver Airline of the Year award at the annual European Regions Airline Association (ERA) conference in Salzburg, Austria.

Passengers will enjoy complimentary champagne – served in addition to the airline’s full bar service and on board cuisine – and a selection of fine chocolates on afternoon and evening flights from Birmingham, Bristol, East Midlands and Manchester starting immediately, and from Norwich, Aberdeen, Glasgow and Edinburgh starting 23 October. ‘Silver Service’ will run for one week on all routes operated from these eight British hubs.

Cathal O’Connell, CEO of bmi regional, said: “Winning this award is a special honour for us and comes just eighteen months after we established ourselves as an independent carrier. We continue to grow our network and want to celebrate this achievement with our customers.”
