CLEAR's biometric identity platform to strengthen security and redefine the travel experience.

NEW YORK – CLEAR, the leading biometric identity platform, announced that its expedited traveler service is coming to Austin-Bergstrom International Airport. CLEAR’s innovative platform transforms travel, bringing a frictionless experience, serious speed and enhanced security for its members.

“CLEAR offers our travelers an expedited security screening process which enhances customer service,” said Jim Smith, Executive Director, Austin-Bergstrom International Airport. “Providing our passengers with a secure and more enjoyable travel process is a priority.”

“We are thrilled to launch CLEAR in Austin – a city focused on growth and innovation,” said CLEAR CEO Caryn Seidman-Becker. “Austin-Bergstrom is one of the fastest-growing airports in the country, serving almost 11 million passengers last year.  CLEAR’s mission is to strengthen security and redefine the customer experience at the touch of a finger. We’re ver excited to now offer our CLEAR members an additional opportunity to use our platform. We look forward to introducing this innovative technology to new customers in the Austin area.”

Certified by the Department of Homeland Security as a Qualified Anti-Terrorism Technology, CLEAR uses biometrics (fingerprint and iris) to verify its members’ identities. This technology expedites the security screening process at major US airports across the country, ensuring CLEAR travelers consistently average less than 5 minutes through airport security. CLEAR is integrated with TSA PreCheck at all of its locations.

Travelers who sign up at a CLEAR airport location can enroll for a free 1 month trial. Corporate rates and family plans are available.

“CLEAR’s unmatched technology is making travel easier, safer, and more pleasant,” said Texas Longhorn great Colt McCoy, Quarterback for the Washington Redskins and a CLEAR advisor. “CLEAR’s game-changing technology is right at home in Austin, a city that has long embraced and valued true innovation. I’m confident travelers in Austin will quickly become CLEAR fans.”

CLEAR’s biometric platform is scalable for other verticals including stadiums, universities, office buildings and other venues committed to enhancing security while simultaneously delighting customers. This year, the Company’s ground-breaking platform expanded to three Major League Baseball stadiums, strengthening security and redefining the fan experience at Yankee Stadium in New York, AT&T Park in San Francisco, and Coors Field in Denver.
