FORT LAUDERDALE, FLA. – World Travel Holdings and its brands continue to innovate through disruption. Six years ago, at a National Conference, it launched Dream Vacations, the experiential sister to flagship franchise brand CruiseOne. The nation’s largest online and offline leisure travel company revealed another move that will change the future of travel agency franchises and host agencies by unveiling plans for an Associate Recruitment Program to launch in January 2022.

Many of our travel agency franchise owners have expressed to us that they want to expand their business, diversify their offerings and grow their agency footprint by adding associates, yet they do not have the time or resources to invest in recruiting,” said Debbie Fiorino, chief operating officer of Dream Vacations/CruiseOne. “The Associate Recruitment Program is just another example of how we listen to feedback from our network and take action by launching meaningful initiatives that enhance our franchise system and positively impact our franchisees’ bottom line. Our focus has always been investing in our franchise owners so they can operate their business more efficiently and focus on selling dream vacations. Our goal is not to have the largest travel agency franchise system, but rather to have the most successful travel agency franchises. We believe that embracing this hybrid model is the future for significant individual agency growth.”

World Travel Holdings had been recruiting independent contractors for nearly 40 years with its Cruises Inc. brand, and now it will be leveraging this expertise to recruit independent contractors on behalf of its franchise owners through the Associate Recruitment Program. Branded externally as Dream Vacations Advisor, this program will enable franchisees to be more successful by expanding their teams and thus increasing their overall sales potential. In January 2022 the Associate Recruitment Program will launch and it is ideal for those who want to sell travel as an independent contractor by joining a reputable and established host. What’s more, independent contractors who join as associates will have a built-in mentor in their agency franchise owner and will reap the benefits of being part of World Travel Holdings.

Our Associate Recruitment Program is a win-win for both independent contractors and franchise owners,” said Drew Daly, general manager and senior vice president of Dream Vacations/CruiseOne. “The independent contractor model continues to be an important segment of the travel agency distribution channel and this new program will enable independent contractors to have more individualized support and more success than in any other host opportunity. In addition, the Associate Recruitment Program will be a game-changer for our franchisees as we are confident it will make them more successful by increasing their same-store sales.”

Earlier this year, Cruises Inc. merged with Dream Vacations/CruiseOne, resulting in even more customizable marketing and technology tools for independent contractors. This, coupled with the new Associate Recruitment Program, is reshaping the landscape for hosting independent contractors.

Our franchise is looking forward to this program to help grow our business,” said Jerry March, franchise owner of Bean-March Travel Group – Dream Vacations in Clayton, N.C., and 2022 chair of the Dream Vacations/CruiseOne Advisory Council. “It is like having our own recruitment department helping us find independent contractors. One of our biggest obstacles is having the time and resources to recruit. The Associate Recruitment Program will help us overcome those challenges.”
