Enterprise Car Rental Company recognized as industry leader in customer service

Enterprise brand declared “Runaway Winner” for customer satisfaction.

ST. LOUIS – The Enterprise Rent-A-Car, National Car Rental and Alamo Rent A Car brands recently earned prestigious honors from two different organizations for their industry-leading customer service. Enterprise and National tied for the highest customer experience score among car rental companies in the 2016 Temkin Experience Ratings. Meanwhile, Enterprise and Alamo took home Platinum and Gold, respectively, in MONEY Magazine’s Best in Travel Awards 2016.

Enterprise Holdings Inc. operates the Enterprise, National and Alamo brands through an integrated global network of regional subsidiaries and independent franchises in more than 80 countries. This extensive network consists of more than 9,000 fully staffed airport and neighborhood locations, as well as a worldwide fleet of more than 1.7 million vehicles.

“We take great pride in consistently exceeding expectations across all of our brands – wherever, however and whenever consumers choose to rent from us,” said Patrick Farrell, Chief Marketing & Communications Officer for Enterprise Holdings Inc.

Two years ago, Farrell, a keynote speaker at the 2014 International Car Rental Show, stressed that future innovation and growth in the car rental industry – local as well as global – depended on staying in close touch with the changing wants and needs of the consumer. “Everything we do is underpinned by consumer research,” he stated, “but the most effective form of research still comes down to one simple thing: listening to consumers.”

Today, that kind of two-way communication continues to be the key to Enterprise Holdings’ leadership in the car rental and travel industries. In fact, Enterprise Holdings not only is the world’s largest car rental company, but it also ranks near the top of the global travel industry, ahead of many airlines and most cruise lines, hotels, tour operators and online travel agencies.

“Runaway Winner”
The annual Temkin Experience Ratings study is one of the most comprehensive benchmarks of customer experience, evaluating 294 companies across 20 industries by surveying 10,000 U.S. customers who had interacted with the selected companies in the past 60 days.

The MONEY Magazine awards were based on a review of the eight largest car rental chains, ranking them based on overall satisfaction; average lowest rates and average median rates; customer satisfaction with the reservation, pickup and return processes; and satisfaction with shuttle busses, rental cars and costs and fees.

In giving Enterprise its Platinum award, MONEY Magazine noted that the brand was the “runaway winner” when it came to customer satisfaction, scoring top marks for its fleet, reservation process, pickups and returns, and attention to customer service. Alamo earned MONEY Magazine’s Gold award for customer satisfaction, cost-conscious pricing and outstanding loyalty program.

The National and Enterprise brands also recently ranked at the top of the Travel + Leisure World’s Best Awards in the car rental category, and also received Travel Weekly Magellan Awards for National’s mobile app and the Exotic Car Collection by Enterprise.
