Swiss European and the Swiss pilots union (SPA) have signed a memorandum of understanding that ensures that Swiss pilots will hand over the individual contracts to Swiss European. The memorandum of understanding also sets the stage for a new collective working agreement.
Following intensive discussions, the two parties reached agreement on a memorandum of understanding in which they underscore their common commitment to a collaborative social partnership. A timeframe for new negotiations in February for a collective working agreement was also reached. The negotiations are to be concluded by the end of March and the new collective working agreement is to take effect April 1, 2006. SWISS PILOTS will continue to represent the interests of the cockpit crews of Swiss European. The situation for both sides has thus become calmer.
