British Airways posts drop in passenger traffic of 24.7 percent

It seems as more and more airline companies now comprehend the ill effects of the September 11th attacks in the US. Just recently European giant, British Airways<.> posted a drop of some 24.7 percent in passenger traffic for the month of October.



According to the airline, the numbers recorded measured against the same period last year – was made up of a 36.2 percent fall in premium as well as a 22.4 percent drop in non-premium traffic. According to forecasts, bookings for November show a similar decline to October, with the US, Middle East and Japan being the worst affected markets. According to a company release, early indications for December suggest a slight improvement on November, although the outlook remains volatile.
