Business tourism sector want a new `vision` for London

A report published by Visit London and the London Development Agency (LDA) today suggests that a clear `vision` for London is needed to help attract big business tourism to the capital. The report suggests that a `London means business` vision, developed by Visit London, would generate more clarity and understanding for the sector and the customer about London`s offering.



The report is the result of discussions and workshops at the 2nd London Leadership Forum on 30th March, 2004 which was attended by around 100 leading players in the London business tourism industry, including members of the Business Tourism Advisory Group (BTAG).



An overarching theme of the report is recognition that the business sector needs to work closer together to win major business for London. The report states that more support and empowerment of Visit London in leading the marketing and promotion of London as a world-class business destination, and in preparing bids for large events, would greatly enhance chances of winning these events for the capital.
