Corporate travel experts team up with Business Travel Forums

Business Travel Forums, the exclusive events designed to help policymakers build relationships with independent hotels, have announced a new collaboration for their upcoming events taking place at the Hotel Hesperia Madrid in Spain on April 22-24.

Corporate travel experts Chris Pouney and Oscar Garcia have designed the workshop session at the Forum, enabling buyers to interact and develop the best practices with each other and with suppliers.

Pouney is renowned for providing his expertise to companies on a daily basis through his company, Severnside Consulting. With over twenty years of experience in business travel, Pouney worked for travel specialists American Express and BCD Travel before joining US financial giant, Citigroup.

Garcia manages the Forum Business Travel Association in Madrid, providing educational training to a network of 10,500 travel experts in Spain.

The workshop programme will include insightful presentation on future business travel trends, expert opinions on the prevailing issues affecting the business travel industry, structured debates focusing on bridging the gap between buyer expectations and supplier delivery, an analysis of best practice case studies with both corporate travel managers and suppliers as well as a Q&A session from Chris Pouney on the specific challenges that buyers and suppliers have been facing and will face in the coming months.

Chris Pouney comments on his reasoning for renewing his collaboration with Business Travel Forums: “At last year’s event, the number of attendees allowed for a really businesslike, collaborative atmosphere. Buyers and suppliers opened up to each other significantly, which does not happen at larger events. The combination of educational content, meetings and networking against a great venue backdrop, dynamic city and entertainment, makes the Business Travel Forums a truly unique event in the business travel calendar. Furthermore, with Madrid being a key city for many corporate clients, the event is a great use of time for any corporate travel manager who would like to attend the event and take the opportunity to visit their operations in the city.”
