On Wednesday 8th December, easyJet welcomes yet another Eastern European destination to its network  when it launches services to Bratislava from London Luton Airport. The daily services are from £40.98 return including tax and the airline expects to carry almost 100,000 passengers on the route in the first year.

easyJet is now the low cost leader for flights to Eastern Europe, serving eight cities in seven countries with 30 flights a day. With an increase in its operations to the region by a phenomenal 500%, the largest low cost carrier for Eastern Europe expects to carry 2.6million passengers on these new routes in the next 12 months.

To celebrate the launch of Bratislava, the gateway to Slovakia and Austria easyJet will be hosting a free classical concert playing the works of Mozart & Vivaldi at the Milton Keynes shopping centre on Wednesday 8th December. As well as being able to find out more about the destination, there will be a chance for shoppers to win flights to the Slovakian Capital.

Not only is Bratislava a beautiful neoclassical, gothic and yet modern city, it is great value for money as well as a short journey across the Austrian boarder to the stunning city of Vienna, which means visitors can combine two classic city tours into one trip.

Bratislava is situated on the banks of the Danube, overlooked by a 15th century castle and has many cultural and historic attractions in its compact and pedestrians old town which also has a vibrant cafe culture.

Vienna is a magnificent city, thriving in cultural history, with splendid imperial architecture and a centre for the arts and the world`s music capital. With attractions as varied as art galleries to the giant Ferris wheel, or opera performances to the famed horse ballet at the Spanish Riding School, there is something for everyone. Strolling around in the footsteps of the Habsburgs, admiring the regal surroundings, it is easy to understand why the city was such an inspiration to the great music composers.

easyJet CEO Ray Webster said:
“easyJet continues to recognise the great potential for expansion into Eastern Europe and we are delighted to begin operating flights to the beautiful City of Bratislava. As the gateway to Slovakia and Austria, we expect Bratislava to attract both business and leisure passengers.

easyJet flights to and from Eastern Europe have grown by a phenomenal 500% in the last year and we now operate to eight cities, in seven Countries, carrying over 2.6 million passengers a year, making easyJet the clear low cost leader for Eastern Europe”
