English firm votes Mexicana as top airline

Mexicana<.> was voted as the Best Airline to Central America by Airline Quality, a research company based in England, which surveyed 2.7 million travelers around the world over a nine-month period. Airline Quality also ranks the airlines individually using a star-ranking system, where airlines receive 1 to 5 stars, based on the overall quality of its classes of service (First Class, Business, Economy) as well as safety, seating, catering and the cabin staff. Mexicana received four out five stars for its Executive Class, for its safety procedures and systems, and for the catering and seating in its business class cabin.

Best Airline to Mexico, Latin Finance Mexicana was voted as the Best Airline to Mexico by readers of the national financial publication Latin Finance that has a vast circulation in the United States and Latin America.



Best Airline to Central and Latin America, World Travel Awards Mexicana received the World Travel Award 2001 for the Best Airline to Central and Latin America, through a voting process of over 80,000 travel agents from all around the world. Mexicana has consistently been recognized with this award consecutively for the past 5 years.



Double Eagle Award, US, Mexico Chamber of Commerce Mexicana received this award in conjunction with its Star Alliance partner, United Airlines, for its key role in strengthening the commercial ties between the United States and Mexico through the route network that both airlines have created.
