The Estonian national carrier Estonian Air has been nominated as one of the finalists among the best in social media in the World by Simpliflying. The decision to nominate Estonian Air in the category "Best use of social media to drive revenue" has been done by the SimpliFlying team and Hotel Marketing Strategies blog.
The SimpliFlying team and Hotel Marketing Strategies blog have shortlisted the top five finalists for each category for the 2nd Annual SimpliFlying Awards in Social Media Excellence. Other categories include „Best use of social media for customer service/crises management“, "Best Airline in Social Media“, "Best Airport in Social media“ and „Best Hotel in Social Media“.
Estonian Air has been investigating new methods to improve services, desing new products and to monetizing social media.
"My Estonian Air“ is the platform for the service and product design improvements. In monetizing social media, multiple unique experimental approaches like regular, reverse and group auctions, and campaign "Pay your own price“ have been tested this summer.
Estonian Air will continue trying new and now proven approaches in social media. The underlying reason for such campaigns is to develop new sales channels and reward loyal fans for their support with attractive offers.
