A delegation from the German tourism firm TUI AG has made a tour of Viet Nam to study the market.

On Feb. 23, the TUI AG president held a working session with Ho Chi Minh City Mayor Le Thanh Hai, who promised to create the best conditions for the firm and its Vietnamese partner, Saigontourist, to cooperate.

The two sides will organise groups to study cooperation in travel, hotels and tourism resorts, personnel training, and tourism promotion. They plan to hold tours to Viet Nam, with the neighbouring countries of Thailand, Cambodia and Laos.

Investment in coastal tourism resorts, including the 200 ha Phu Quoc resort in the southern province of Kien Giang, would be included in the cooperation plan.

TUI AG experts expect that the firm will bring 20 million tourists from Germany and Europe to Viet Nam.
