Goldair handling in Bulgaria

Goldair Handling Bulgaria gave the license to provide full passenger and ramp ground handling services at the Sofia International Airport. Sofia International Airport is very alike to the Greek airports well known to Goldair Handling, as its almost 25.000 departures per year include both scheduled and charter  flights, that demand different, yet high quality handling by the handling provider.

Goldair Handling is thus the only merely Greek-owned company engaged in full handling services in two neighbour countries, Cyprus and Bulgaria.

Mr. Kallinikos, Executive Vice President of Goldair Handling, stated: "This new investment for Sofia International Airport starts up with 12 million Euro and is part of a regional development strategy to countries with the same traffic structure of Greece (i.e., charter and scheduled flights)”.

The expansion of ISAGO awarded Goldair Handling SA to Sofia, if seen parallel to the activation of the company at six new airports in Greece (Chania – Kos – Zakynthos – Mykonos – Santorini – Kefallonia), results in the abolishment of the State monopolies.

Any organizational and financial issues arisen because of this change are carefully foreseen, planned and resolved.  Despite the tough economic environment of our days, the given structure of Goldair Handling successfully integrates all such issues and manages to keep a safe and sustainable operational environment.

Goldair Handling , with total investments of over 50 million euro, currently employs more than 1,000 people in Greece and 400 employees out of the borders, safeguarding and guaranteeing the best employment conditions in the industry.
