Iberia adds another new airbus a-321 to its fleet

Iberia has taken delivery of a new Airbus A-321, registered as EC-JGS, and christened the Guadalupe

Iberia has taken delivery of a new Airbus A-321, registered as EC-JGS, and christened the Guadalupe. The 194-seat aircraft will be used on routes within Spain and Europe.

The new unit brings the total number of Iberia Airbus A-321s to twelve. The airline chose this aircraft because it has the latest technological advances, boasts quiet operations, and provides better services to passengers. Iberia now has a total of 79 units from the Airbus A-320 family, including A-319s, A-320s, and A-321s.

The incorporation of the new Airbus comes within Iberia`s fleet replacement programme, launched in 1998, which is intended to equip the airline with the most modern aircraft, offering the best features, and lower fuel, operating, and maintenance costs.

Like Iberia`s other Airbus A-321s, the new aircraft was named for a place of great interest to tourists. Guadalupe, a city in Spain`s western region of Extremadura, is famous for its 14th C. monastery.
