Chef Jesus Cibrian of ARAMARK at the Las Vegas Convention Center has been appointed to serve as executive chef of the 2004 Summer Olympic Games in Athens, Greece. Chef Cibrian was selected as a result of his extensive experience with high volume food service.

ARAMARK, the Las Vegas Convention Center`s in-house food management service, has been contracted by the International Olympic Committee to manage all food and beverage services at the Olympic Villa for more than 16,000 athletes, 5,500 team officials and 10,000 volunteers, as well as the thousands of staff members involved with the games.

During his stay, Chef Cibrian will oversee 100 ARAMARK employees from around the world. Built to accommodate more than 6,000 people at one time, the buffet-style layout at the Olympic Villa will serve 200 to 250 items at multiple stations suitable for healthy lifestyles, as well as fulfill the athletes` special dietary requests. Meals will be available 24 hours a day.

The Olympic Villa is projected to serve 2 million meals during the Olympic Games, which begin Friday, August 13 and conclude Sunday, August 29, as well as at the Paralympic Games, which run Friday, September 17, through Tuesday, September 28, 2004.
