Malta featured in Spanish print media

The October edition of Spain’s most important travel magazine Viajar, boosted the Maltese archipelago’s destination profile with a fifteen-page feature. The article focused on the Islands’ history, and described Malta as ‘the the honey coloured stone in the middle of the Mediterranean’ as well as ‘Europe’s best-guarded treasure’. The item was accompanied by breathtaking vibrant photos of typical Maltese scenery.



Malta also was featured in a six page, full colour article published in a recent edition of the popular Spanish magazine Placet. The piece includes information about Valletta, the Grand Harbour, the Three Cities, Gozo, Rabat and Mdina.



English language learning, the local climate, Maltese history and cusine were the subject of a three-page full colour feature about Malta which appeared recently in the Spanish magazine Mujer 21. The item was accompanied by postcard-style photographs of the archipelago.



La Gaceta Ocio also dedicated an article to Malta in a recent edition. The feature dealt with the vast cultural heritage left by the various peoples who settled in Malta, the archipelago’s strategic geographic position, the luzzus, Valletta, Mdina, and the Knights of the order of St John.



The journalists who wrote the features were brought over to Malta on press trips which were organised by Malta Tourism Authority in collaboration with Air Malta.
