Mylos to host major scientific conference

More than 150 researchers and experts from around the world are expected to converge on Mylos<.> in mid-September for the 5th International Conference on the History of Mining.

This significant event, to be held in Greece for the first time, will run from September 13 to 16. It is being organised by the firm Heliotopos<.> and supported by the company Silver & Baryte. Topics will cover a wide range of mining activities while Greek operations and environmental issues should prove of particular interest.

Mylos` new George Iliopoulos Convention Centre, which is to be inaugurated in June, will host the forum.
