Ulrik Svensson, SWISS`s recently-appointed Managing Director Finance, assumed his new office on Monday, May 12. Thomas Hofmann, the previous Chief Financial Officer, will leave the company after introducing Svensson to his duties.
The appointment of Ulrik Svensson, a Swedish national, completes SWISS`s new corporate level of three managing directors reporting directly to the CEO. Svensson, who has extensive experience in corporate turnaround activities, will now swiftly familiarise himself with the airline business with the assistance of former CFO Thomas Hofmann.
SWISS and Hofmann have agreed to terminate their working relationship at the end of May. Hofmann will, however, remain available to the company for special assignments for a limited period beyond this date.
The company wishes to thank Thomas Hofmann for the expertise and the resources he has devoted to SWISS and Crossair over the past 15 years. With his dedication and his keen collaborative spirit, Hofmann was instrumental in developing Crossair and in ensuring SWISS`s successful launch.
