Oceania Cruises, who operate three mid-sized, upper premium cruise ships, Regatta, Insignia and Nautica, is offering a new culinary themed itinerary to its 14 night "Roman Revelations" Mediterranean cruise from Barcelona to Istanbul, departing on 9th August 2009. The cruise has been dubbed the "Jacques Pepin Cruise" as it will include live cooking displays, special menus and culinary events by Oceania’s Executive Master Chef, Jacques Pepin, a French born chef and the original "celebrity chef" with numerous books and TV shows to his credit over the past 20 years while living in the U.S.

Dining on board Regatta, Insignia and Nautica is in a choice of four restaurants, including the renowned Italian inspired `Toscana’, the `Polo Grill’ for seafood, grills and steaks, the `Grand Dining Room’ with its 5* dining experiences, and the `Terrace Cafe’ for daytime meals on the terraces and evening tapas and Mediterranean inspired dishes.
During the culinary cruise, passengers will also have the opportunity to enjoy cuisine from 8 countries, Spain, Tunisia, Malta, Greece, Egypt, Israel, Cyprus and Turkey, as Insignia follows an itinerary from Barcelona, through the Mediterranean, stopping at La Goulette (Tunisia), Valetta in Malta, Crete, down to Egypt and Israel, then north via Cyprus, arriving into Kusadasi and finally Istanbul 14 days later.
