Prague accommodation bookings up 20% for easytobook.com

Online hotel bookings website bucks the market downturn

Accommodation-only bookings website EasyToBook.com announces its best November revenue figures for Prague in its four year history. 20% up from October to November 2008, this marks a contrast against the usual market drop of 10-15% during this season.

Billed ‘the Paris of the East’ EasyToBook.com offers 886 hotels in Prague, ranging from five-star luxury at the Esplanade Prague to the Golden Tree Guesthouse located in the city’s Old Town. Accommodation is searchable by star rating or on the basis of facilities and services.

Wouter Blok, chief marketing office at EasyToBook.com says: “People are still prioritising a holiday despite the recession and are cannily choosing to remain outside the Euro zone, making their pounds go further. Prague is well known as a good value destination, with a pint of beer costing less than £1 – when coupled with the cost efficient accommodation available through our website it makes the break affordable.

EasyToBook.com also offers a credit crunch busting payment system whereby customers do not pay a penny until they check out of their hotel, in contrast to many Internet based travel agencies which charge the entire amount in advance of each trip. In an uncertain age, EasyToBook.com aims to offer maximum flexibility and does not charge cancellation or amendment fees if a customer changes their mind or their circumstances change.”
