The Airport Marketing Awards are held at
A huge number of carriers took the trouble to vote for airports who had made a real difference to their own network planning activity over the last 12 months. It was interesting to note that for the first time airports from all five continents were nominated, confirming that airports everywhere are becoming more professional in the way they market themselves to airlines.
Jon Woolf, the Awards Director at Routes comments: I’m sure everybody who attended this year’s awards ceremony in Athens will remember both the spectacular venue and the equally spectacular weather for years to come, certainly a night to remember! This year, over 500 airlines were invited to vote online to elect the best airports’ marketing practice.
The Awards Ceremony, which was sponsored this year by Shell Aviation, was the highlight of the lavish Gala Dinner hosted by Athens International Airport. The lucky nominees were invited to collect their prestigious trophies sponsored by Waterford Crystal.
