Ultra luxury small-ship specialist Seabourn Cruise Line has announced that, for the summer of 2006, calls of its yacht-like ship Seabourn Pride at London will once again involve sailing under the city`s famous Tower Bridge.

The bridge transit, which requires the drawbridge to be lifted to allow the ship to berth alongside the historic museum ship HMS Belfast in the heart of London, had been deleted in 2005, when the ship instead used a floating dock situated just downriver from the landmark bridge. The Tower Bridge transit had long been a highlight of voyages into and out of London for Seabourn guests, said Seabourn president Deborah L. Natansohn.

Everyone on board always loves going under the bridge, noted Natansohn. They line the railings and wave, and the people on the banks are taking pictures. It`s a great feeling.

Seabourn Pride will call at London on June 3, following a 14-day European Food & Wine festival cruise from Lisbon, and again on September 29 to begin a 14-day transatlantic voyage In the Wake of the Pilgrims.

In addition, Seabourn Pride will call at London on August 31, beginning a 14-day private full-ship charter in connection with the Ryder Cup golf tournament in Dublin, Ireland.
