Singapore Airlines and Virgin – A Done Deal

Singapore Airlines (SIA<.>) is pleased to announce that it now owns 49 per cent of Virgin Atlantic Limited, the holding company of Virgin Atlantic Airways and various other subsidiaries.

Following exchange of contracts on 11 February 2000 and subsequent receipt of all relevant approvals, the final completion of the transaction took place on 30 March 2000.

SIA now looks forward to working with Virgin for the benefit of the two companies and their respective customers, shareholders and employees.
