Cook&Taste opens its doors in the very centre of the city of Barcelona to offer cooking workshops for foreigners as an appealing, amusing option for those who visit our country to approach our gastronomy and culture.

The Mediterranean cuisine has acquired, in recent years, international renown to an unprecedented extent. Many of our chefs have gained international acclaim and our culinary tradition is famous all over the world for its richness and variety. Besides that, our Mediterranean diet is considered to be especially healthy.

In such a context, Cook&Taste came to life with the aim of contributing to the spread of our deeply rooted culinary traditions. Looking forward to sharing all this cultural richness with the travellers visiting Barcelona, we are trying to attend a growing, underlying demand, which hasn’t been met by the market yet.

The program of Cook&Taste includes a wide range of possibilities, designed to fulfil the specific needs of all kinds of clients. In the beginning, we will be providing three kinds of services: one-day workshops for those who don’t have much time (3 hours aprox), three-day seminars for those willing to go into it a bit more, and customized workshops “a la carte”. In the near future, there will be a wider offer of services with a complete tourist package linked to local gastronomy, including accommodation, guided visits, specialized wine tastes, etc. In all such cases, our program will be based on the same priority, which is offering a quality product and an excellent treatment of our clients.

Cook&Taste’s workshops are a unique opportunity for tourists on holidays, long-term residents and even foreign professionals to discover our cuisine and learn to cook genuine specialities of our gastronomy in a short space of time. They are given in Spanish, English or French and are intended for groups limited to 10 people. However, there’s also the possibility to rent premises in the city, fully equipped to hold cooking classes for bigger groups.

These sessions offer the client a direct contact with local cuisine in a warm, cheerful atmosphere. We explain how to cook some of our most popular dishes, giving information about the origins of our food, its ingredients and the way to combine them. Finally we offer our clients the opportunity to enjoy and taste the dishes made during the class.
