Visitors to the Holiday Fair 2005 will leave with a rucksack full of information and gimmicks. The rucksack will be given to all visitors as they enter the fair and it  incorporates the fair`s motto `The world at your feet`. This is the motto with which the fair will present itself from Wednesday the 12th until Sunday the 16th of January 2005. This is a symbolic guide to all corners of our country, Europe and countries from all over the world who will be presenting themselves in an informative and often festive manner in the nine halls of the Jaarbeurs in Utrecht.

The Holiday Fair has, in the last 35 years, developed into the largest consumer holiday fair in Europe and offers a world full of information, exotic and exciting experiences, tastes and temptations. The thousands of visitors use this fair as a spring-board for their following destination. They get first hand information from the locals themselves and can also book on the spot. Lots of surprises, performances and attractions are on the menu for the forthcoming fair. In the `Wereldwijdweg Theatre`, Dutch people from all walks of life will talk about their travel experiences. This will be alternated with slide presentations, music and dance performances and fashion shows of holiday and outdoor clothing and bridal -wear shows.

Europe in a nutshell
The fair has been greatly improved with an exciting and more logical set up. Visitors will find all the European destinations together on one side of the hall complex enabling them to make a complete trip around Europe. Holland will also be represented in all its facets and beauty. The long-haul destinations are grouped together on the other side of the complex. Every traveller, however simple or exotic their desired destination may be, can easily find their way around all the country and theme pavilions.

Puzzle around the world
This year, visitors can also take part in a puzzle competition, the World-wide-route, and win a dream vacation. The competition will take the visitor through the whole fair complex where they can collect puzzle pieces at the travel organizations taking part to help them find the solution. The answers can be entered onto the internet at the fair.

New sectors
New sectors which have special attention are medical tourism, health and spa, exclusive wedding destinations in the Wedding and Honeymoon pavilion and active vacations. New destinations at the holiday fair are Japan, Russia, Cambodia and Brunei. Latin America will also be represented along with the growing interest for Turkey. They began with 300m² and are now good for 3.000m². Interest in the Caribbean is also growing.
