First Swahili International Tourism Expo rescheduled for October 1-4, 2014

The tourism expo was rescheduled due to the overwhelming response and interest TTB had received from members of the travel industry who have indicated that their calendars and budgets for 2013 are already committed.

DAR ES SALAAM, TANZANIA – The Tanzania Tourist Board (TTB) and its partner, Witch & Wizard Creative, have announced the rescheduling of the launch of the first Swahili International Tourism Expo (S!TE) from October 2-5, 2013 to next year, October 1-4, 2014 at the Mlimani City Conference Centre in Dar es Salaam. The tourism expo was rescheduled due to the overwhelming response and interest TTB had received from members of the travel industry who have indicated that their calendars and budgets for 2013 are already committed.

Rescheduling the launch will give enough advanced notice to all those interested in attending S!TE to schedule it for 2014, ensuring the maximum participation by the travel industry.

The S!TE 2014 will focus on inbound and outbound travel to Africa and is expected to draw hundreds of tourism and travel professionals from all over the world. The Expo will take the format of a travel and trade exhibition with a conference element focusing on topical tourism, sustainability, conservation and other market related issues.

S!TE is currently offering a discount for exhibition stands  at 40 – 60% off standard price for all new and 2013 applicants. Registration for the expo will remain open.
