Flybe’s 2015 summer schedule on sale from Southampton

Leading regional airline adds two brand new routes and announces continuation of sun routes to Alicante, Faro, Malaga and Palma for summer.

Flybe has announced its full 2015 Summer schedule from Southampton airport featuring 28 routes with a total choice of up to 320 flights a week across its extensive UK and Europe network. This includes two brand new routes to Bastia (Corsica) and Milan Malpensa as well as the continuation of its sun routes to Alicante, Faro, Malaga and Palma Mallorca.

Tickets are on sale for booking at flybe.com and currently available for travel between March 29th and 3rd September 2015.

This will also be the first summer for the airline’s Flybe Shuttle service to and from Jersey and Aberdeen with stop offs at Southampton and Leeds Bradford airports. Flybe’s ski routes to Chambery, Geneva, Grenoble and Salzburg will extend through to April 2015 to accommodate Easter holiday travel. Flights to regional France are boosted with the return for peak summer travel to destinations including Avignon, Bordeaux, Brest and Limoges.

In providing a ‘One Stop to the World’, Flybe’s seven codeshare partners offer Southampton customers extensive opportunities to enjoy seamless long haul travel through Dublin and Manchester airports. These airports offer the benefit of additional onward connections to Asia, Canada and the US available with the airline’s newest codeshare partners Cathay Pacific, Finnair and Aer Lingus when flights are booked either direct from those airlines’ websites or through a local travel agent. With these codeshares, there is now no need to go anywhere near the large hectic London hub airports! And there’s the very real advantage of US pre-clearance when travelling through Dublin on to destinations such as Boston and New York.

“Flybe is committed to responding to our customers’ needs and I am really pleased that we have been able to create a schedule that continues our sun routes for next summer,” says Paul Simmons, Flybe’s Chief Commercial Officer. “Our two new routes to Bastia in Corsica and to Milan will give our customers the opportunity for the first time to visit these attractive destinations direct from Southampton.

“Over the last twelve months we have continued to grow and develop the airline to provide the most cost-effective, efficient and flexible service for our passengers. Our 2015 Summer schedule boosts further the large selection of flights to great city and sun destinations.”

Southampton Managing Director, Dave Lees adds: “We are delighted that Flybe will be starting new air services to Milan and Corsica for summer 2015. Flights to popular summer sun destinations in the Algarve, Alicante, Malaga, Majorca and Verona will also return next year, so people from this region will have a bigger choice of holiday destinations than ever.”

Bastia, located on the northern tip of the French island of Corsica and the city between the sea and the mountains, is a thriving ferry and cruise ship port. Milan needs no introduction – it is one of Europe’s most ancient cities with more than 26 centuries of history and heritage and is renowned as Italy’s thriving cosmopolitan business capital offering something for everyone from shopping and nightlife, to football, opera and fashion.
