HMSHost delivers new dining experiences to travelers at Manchester-Boston Regional Airport

Regional craft brews, classic New England fare, and Starbucks now open.

MANCHESTER, NH – One can’t help but crave the essential foods of the region when traveling to New England. Seafood staples like clam chowder, lobster, and cod are an undeniable part of the northeastern United States culture. Beer, naturally, is also part of the regional identity as this is the place credited with giving rise to the craft brewing boom that is enjoyed all over the country today. Now Manchester-Boston Regional Airport is offering more regionally-inspired favorites with global restaurateur HMSHost’s recent openings of The Shipyard Pub & Café and Samuel Adams Manchester Brewhouse. Travelers have also gained a new Starbucks store in the pre-security baggage claim area.

“As travelers on the go continue to look for local brands and cuisines, we are very excited to be able to partner with Manchester-Boston Regional Airport to bring them brewing companies and accompanying menus inspired by the northeast region,” said HMSHost Vice President of Business Development Michael Price. “These new restaurants, along with Starbucks, bring a great variety of choices and convenience to travelers coming to visit the Manchester and Boston areas.”

The Samuel Adams Manchester Brewhouse, located near Gate 9, draws travelers in after they pass through security, with the tempting sight of a comfortable tasting room seating area. Once inside, the experience continues to be elevated as guests can order a cold one from a robust line-up of Samuel Adams brews on tap such as Nitro Coffee Stout, Rebel Juiced IPA, and Cherry Wheat. Limited Release Samuel Adams beers like the Winter Lager, Hopscape, and Fresh as Helles are available on a rotating basis. Specialties from other Boston Beer Company brands such as Angry Orchard, Traveler Beer Company and Coney Island Brewing
are also on tap.

Visiting beer aficionados and novices will appreciate that food is listed on the menu with recommended beer pairings. In fact, the menu provides a host of details about the brewing process and the way beer and food can complement each other, as this menu excerpt explains: Beer is nearly a food itself due to the range of flavors, colors, aromas and textures. Beer and food transform each other and when done right, can heighten a dish’s spiciness, match harmonies of roasted and grilled flavors or contrast salty foods.

Samuel Adams Manchester Brewhouse is a place for food-lovers too and the menu has features for just about every palate. Lobster quesadilla, Portsmouth surf & turf, New England lobster roll, Boston clam chowder, spicy Rhode Island calamari, and Boston cream pie give travelers’ taste buds a punch of authentic New England flavor. These and a variety of burgers, salads, tacos, and dishes like the hearty all natural ribeye entrée will keep guests satisfied and coming back.

The Shipyard Pub & Café, located near Security Checkpoint B in the pre-security airport atrium (making it a great location for meeters & greeters to grab a fresh bite) is a new restaurant and bar outpost of the Shipyard Brewing Company, an expanding family-owned New England-based brewery. Shipyard is one of New England’s most awarded breweries and its unique beers are carefully brewed in traditional English style by a talented team of brewers who learned the fine art of brewing from world-renowned master brewer Alan Pugsley.

Shipyard’s Export Ale, Monkey Fist IPA, Seadog Wild Blueberry Ale, Blue Fin Stout, as well as seasonal selections anchor the beer menu, while dining selections offer guests traditional New England-style flavors like clam chowder (“chowda”) and lobster rolls. Travelers can also order other ‘Shipyard Favorite’ main dishes, marked by an anchor on the menu, such as the classic chicken Caesar salad, bagel & lox, pepperoni flatbread, and pulled pork quesadilla. Wicked whoopie pies or a cup of Walpole Creamery ice cream are tasty local desserts for travelers to enjoy.
