Integrated channel management specialist secures direct connection with leading discount travel site.
LONDON – Hotwire.com, a leading discount travel site, has been incorporated into eRevMax’s Channel Eco-System following certification of a two-way XML interface with RateTiger and eRevMax Connect services for hotels.
The seamless online booking connectivity will enable hotels to process rate and inventory updates through RateTiger’s XML interface transferring data in real-time, while also receiving reservation data from Hotwire bookings. The XML integration will enhance the communication performance between the channel manager and extranet that will allow hotel users to take greater advantage of selling distressed inventory.
Reservations generated by Hotwire can be delivered through RateTiger and eRevMax Connect into the hotel’s property management system. This will significantly reduce time to update reservation data while ensuring all customer data is entered accurately.
“This direct connection will allow hotels to improve the salability of their distressed inventory and remain visible in the Hotwire marketplace,” said Tara Stangel, Senior Director of Hotel Supplier Relations at Hotwire.com. “Hotels will be able to continuously generate incremental and guaranteed business very easily through RateTiger updates. Our customers benefit because we do not show the hotel name, content or location at the time of booking therefore in this respect, hotels can safely discount to fill rooms without publicly advertising low rates. Furthermore, once a booking is processed on Hotwire, hotels can receive the booking data direct in the PMS through the RateTiger connection.”
eRevMax is developing its connectivity solutions to offer sophisticated real-time revenue management functionality to the hospitality industry. This includes solutions for the independent market and scaling up through the Tier One enterprise hotel groups. eRevMax’s Channel Eco-System facilitates quality certified connectivity and relationship management services to support complex revenue generation strategies.
