IEG: TTG 2020, Tour Operators’ strategies ready

The organized tourism system is at Italian Exhibition Group’s 2020 TTG Travel Experience, being held from 14th to 16th October at Rimini expo centre. ASTOI Confindustria Viaggi is returning to give the market a strong sign. FTO is bringing the case histories of trade members’ digital resilience and the trade’s objectives to the Arena.

RIMINI (ITALY) – Organized tourism, ASTOI and FTO are presenting the strategies of resilience for the current year and their objectives for 2021 at Italian Exhibition Group TTG Travel Experience, which opens on Wednesday 14th October at Rimini expo centre (Italy). Social channels and digital marketing to continue to talk with clients looking for dreams and concreteness, the response of new business models and insurance solutions. The value of the trade chain: from carriers to hotel hospitality and cruises re-starting.

FTO, with its president Luca Patane, brings five panel discussions to the Global Village Arena to examine the solutions of tourism’s insurance companies to meet requests for greater traveller safety; identifying business models which have been made obsolete by the pandemic crisis and giving agencies that have become “Covid-proof” their say. And then the re-start of the MSC “Grandiosa”, the greatest case of resilience in tourism, two months from which it is time to understand its meaning for tour operators. 

After a few years, ASTOI is returning to TTG with the governance recently elected to lead the Association: Chairman Pier Ezhaya and the two Vice Chairmen Andrea Mele and Marco Peci, as well as representatives of the Steering Council, the General Manager and many members. The participation in TTG is strengthened by a press conference at which ASTOI will confirm the Association’s role in handling the Covid-19 crisis, present an analysis of the situation and lastly outline future programs and objectives.

The FTO panel discussions are the following. Wednesday 14th October (12 noon), Travel Agencies’ and Insurance Companies’ solutions for restarting activities. With Daniela Panetta, Head of Sales Ergo; Gabriele Mannucci, Head of Travels Allianz Partners and Massimiliano Sibilio, Head of Sales & Marketing Europ Assistance. Moderator: Andrea Gilardi – MD, Uvet Network. Followed (at 3:00 pm) by: trade players look together to the future. With Luca Patane, President Uvet; Damiano Sabatino, VP & Managing Director Key Accounts, Travelport; Gaetano Casertano, MD, TH Resorts; moderator: Gabriele Milani – director, FTO. Lastly, also on 14th October (at 4:30 pm), new business models for Travel Agencies for a journey “into the future” with Giada Marabotto, Volver Tour Operator; Giulia Negri, On Board Viaggi; Federica Scarante, Casello 11; Adele Di Monda, New Dimo Travel; moderator – Roberto Gentile, Journalist.  

Thursday 15th October (10:30 am), Agencies’ digital strategies will be explored. With: Raffaello Luly, founder of “Semplicissimo”. Followed (at 3:00 pm) by the relationship between cruises and distribution according to Leonardo Massa, Country manager, MSC, who will discuss with Antonella Ferrari – director, Reti Network Gattinoni; Andrea Gilardi – MD, Uvet Network; moderator: Gabriele Milani – Director, FTO.
