JetBlue Airways takes flight to its 49th destination from Boston

As JetBlue flies towards its goal of operating more than 150 daily departures in Boston, it continues to add destinations that are relevant to its customers and Boston's thriving business community.

BOSTON – JetBlue Airways launches two daily nonstop flights between Boston Logan International (BOS) and Houston’s William P. Hobby Airport (HOU).

Customers can also earn double TrueBlue points on flights between Boston and Houston; Austin; or Dallas/Fort Worth, if booked by October 15, 2013 for travel between July 25, 2013 and October 15, 2013.

“Customers will experience more convenience and comfort with our award-winning service, spacious leather seats, unlimited snacks and free TV at each seat, a nice alternative to the existing services available for this route,” said Scott Laurence, JetBlue’s Vice President of Network Planning and Partnerships. “Arriving into Hobby Airport is an added advantage for our business customers, giving them instant access to downtown Houston.”

JetBlue operates more than 100 daily flights from Boston’s Logan International Airport to destinations across the United States, Caribbean and Mexico, serving approximately seven million customers at BOS annually. Flights to Houston will be operated on the airline’s comfortable 100-seat Embraer 190 fleet featuring its award-winning service and convenient, assigned seating; a first-checked bag free; complimentary and unlimited name brand snacks and drinks; comfy leather seats; and more legroom than any other carrier in coach.

As JetBlue flies towards its goal of operating more than 150 daily departures in Boston, it continues to add destinations that are relevant to its customers and Boston’s thriving business community. JetBlue has experienced exponential growth since its Boston launch in 2004, adding an average of five new destinations annually. Over the past year, the airline launched direct service to: Philadelphia, Pa.; Dallas/Ft. Worth, Texas; Charleston, S.C.; Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands. Customers connecting through Boston on JetBlue can also take advantage of convenient onward service to Europe and beyond on JetBlue’s partner airlines Aer Lingus, American Airlines, Icelandair, Japan Airlines, Lufthansa and Virgin Atlantic, or to destinations throughout New England with Cape Air.
