Kent Event Centre sees rise in enquiries for mini festivals in 2018

Kent Event Centre’s Deputy Event Centre Manager, Ellie Nicholl, says: “Food and drink festivals are more popular than ever, particularly as people are now more aware than ever before about the origins of their food.”

Kent Event Centre has seen an increased interest from organisers looking to hold mini food and drink festivals at the venue. From rum and prosecco to cheese, the venue has hosted a variety of specialised festivals in 2018.

The Prosecco Festival took place at the Kent venue in May attracting over 2,000 people who enjoyed more than 40 handpicked combinations of Prosecco, Cava, Spumante, Pink Fizz, Brut and Prosecco-based cocktails as well as Italian street food designed to complement the drinks. Cheese Fest UK was hosted at the venue in June attracting 5,000 people and the Rum Festival is set to take place in October.

Jo Roberts, National Events Manager at the Prosecco Festival, said: “Kent Event Centre offered a fantastically versatile space for the event, which was exactly what we were looking for.” Cheesefest UK Organisers agreed the open, blank canvas space was a particular selling point for the event."

Kent Event Centre’s Deputy Event Centre Manager, Ellie Nicholl, says: “Food and drink festivals are more popular than ever, particularly as people are now more aware than ever before about the origins of their food. Food festivals are a great opportunity for consumers to reconnect with the people that produce their food and its heritage while socialising with likeminded people.

“As a food festival location Kent Event Centre works well because we offer flexible indoor and outdoor space, car parking and are located at the heart of the county served by key access roads. We look forward to welcoming more of these types of festivals in 2019 and beyond.”
