Legacy Lifestyle and SAA Voyager join forces

Voyager members will be able to convert up to 20,000 of their Miles to real cash value in the form of valuable Legacy Rands.

Legacy Lifestyle and SAA Voyager have this April partnered to conclude one of the biggest reward deals yet to be seen by the travel industry. The new partnership will provide Legacy Lifestyle members with the opportunity to exchange their Legacy Rands for Voyager Miles, whilst Voyager members will be able to convert up to 20,000 of their Miles to real cash value in the form of valuable Legacy Rands. This in essence allows Voyager members access to the 200+ brands currently on the Legacy programme.

“This is a wonderful partnership for Legacy Lifestyle” notes Mike Rowley, Managing Director. “Not only does this allow for an increase in our member base, but will see our brands benefit on a financial level through the conversion of Voyager Miles to Legacy Rands and the subsequent spend at our Partners. Voyager members in return too will see inherent value add through the lifestyle benefits extended to them as a result of the partnership”.

The partnership has been concluded to broaden the benefits offered to respective members and to increase the number of opportunities for points to be earned or redeemed. Legacy Lifestyle will gain new membership and Voyager will gain a host of redemption partners whilst also gaining support from the large Lifestyle Membership base.

Voyager and Legacy Lifestyle members now not only get the opportunity to travel, but can use their points to make purchases at their destination – translating into true value. Both the Lifestyle and Voyager programmes stand to benefit as member loyalty will increase due to the subsequent rewards and intrinsic value experienced.

“It’s a quantifiable cash back opportunity” stresses Rowley.

The new partnership will be communicated to market via a substantial above the line advertising campaign including print adverts, mailer campaigns and on-board advertising on every SAA flight.

“At Voyager we are focused on ensuring the programme remains beneficial and relevant and we were keen to align ourselves with a strategic lifestyle partnership in order to enrich the benefits of the program, complementing our existing offer and partnership portfolio.  We are very excited to welcome the Legacy Lifestyle group into the SAA Voyager family and look forward to growing together in terms of enriched mutual member benefits and opportunities” said Beulah Els – Voyager Commercial Manager.

Members wishing to convert their Voyager Miles or Legacy Rands need only visit voyagerbylifestyle.com and follow the steps thereafter.

Legacy Lifestyle is a luxury rewards programme, and has strategically aligned over 200 aspirational luxury brands to allow members the ability to earn and redeem rewards whenever they transact. The lifestyle programme is unique in South Africa as it works on a 1 – 1, ZAR to Legacy Rand basis, making the use of the programme extremely attractive to all members.

The programme allows real cash back value with high rewards. It’s simple and immediate, with free registration.

The exclusive Brand Partners represent all areas of lifestyle including accommodation, adventure, art, beauty, dining, entertainment, fashion, furniture, health, home, jewellery, spas, speciality, travel and wine estates. Brands include Hugo Boss, Pringle, Fendi, Salvatore Ferragamo and most recently the Cross Trainer group. Travel Partners include Legacy Hotels, LUX* Island Resorts, Hunter Hotels, Avis and Europcar.

Lifestyle members further receive a 20% discount at all Legacy Lifestyle hotels and further rewards back based on their membership status, and as they climb the membership levels they get access to further special privileges and benefits at hotel partners.

The programme only requires a cell phone number and self-nominated PIN code to join.

Note: Launch offer of 20 000 Miles valid until 31 July 2013.
