Big Five Tours & Expeditions has invested in an office in Amman, Jordan. Mahen Sanghrajka, CEO of Big Five, recently traveled there to help launch this new venture. “We see tremendous potential for Jordan to become a world-class destination,” said Sanghrajka. “It has one of the most priceless cultural gems in Petra and is rich in history and tradition. The infrastructure and guest services have improved dramatically in recent years, including the development of luxury resorts along the Dead Sea.”
Big Five offers three basic programs featuring Jordan: Ancient Treasures of Jordan, 7 days; Best of Egypt and Jordan, 10 days; and Cradle of Civilization, a 12-day program that is part of our special collection series called Precious Journeys. Each Jordan program features rich and varied experiences from riding a horse in Petra’s spectacular setting deep inside a narrow desert gorge to exploring ancient sights such as Mount Nebo, said to be the burial site of Moses; and the city of Jerash with some of the finest, most extensive and well-preserved Roman ruins from the former empire to be found anywhere.
Egypt, of course, remains a stellar destination with its grand monuments such as the Giza Pyramids, Luxor temples and the Valleys of the Kings and Queens as well as exceptional Nile cruise opportunities.
“The combination of Jordan with Egypt is an irresistible recipe for lovers of history, culture, archeology and architecture,” stated Sanghrajka.
