Written by Carole French, the guide discusses Jordan's history and culture, eco projects, wildlife and marine life, desert treks, markets and malls. The release of the guidebook comes at an exciting time for Jordan, in a year when the country is celebrating the 200th anniversary of the rediscovery of Petra, Jordan's most famous tourist attraction.

Helpful Arabic phrases are also included, along with information on luxury, up-market, mid-range, budget and shoestring eating and accommodation options.
