The Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) has added another office address in the world’s most modern exhibition centre with the opening of the Emirates Identity Authority (EIDA) Centre in its Grandstand premises.
EIDA inaugurated its 18th registration centre recently in ADNEC in the presence of H.E. Darwish Ahmed Al Zarouni, General Manager of EIDA; H.E. Ahmad Humaid Al Mazrouie, Managing Director of ADNEC; and a number of senior officials.
After the opening, the new centre, which houses five registration lines for men and families, provided a comprehensive overview about its work process. Several important guests, as well as EIDA and ADNEC management and members of the media were present during the inauguration.
The opening of the new EIDA outlet is in line with the strategic plan of the Authority to accelerate the population registration of UAE citizens and residents. Using cutting edge technology, EIDA’s project aims to compile a population register database for the government as well as issue electronic identity cards for the whole UAE population.
Through the new partnership with EIDA, ADNEC pledges its support towards providing easy accessibility to the residents of Abu Dhabi and facilitating the process of ID registration.
On the occasion of the new EIDA centre opening, H.E. Darwish Al Zarouni said: “The UAE prides itself on deploying advanced technology for the Population Register and ID Card system. The Population Register and ID card System is a real example of the UAE Government’s efforts to implement e-Government and full automation. I’m delighted that our new office will be located in such a prestigious address.”
Attending the inauguration, H.E. Ahmad Humaid Al Mazrouie said: “In addition to providing unrivalled facilities for exhibition organisers, exhibitors and visitors, ADNEC is also dedicated to providing state-of-the-art facilities and services for the residents of Abu Dhabi. I’m therefore delighted that EIDA has joined our strong portfolio of public service and retail outlets.”
