A luxury Eastern African polo spa<.> retreat hopes Dubai`s new international equestrian exhibition can provide it with a breakthrough into the lucrative Middle East market.

The Equestrian Show, taking place at Dubai`s Nad Al Sheba Racecourse on March 20-23, in the build-up to the Dubai World Cup, allows Safari Spa Ltd the perfect opportunity to introduce it`s safari spa and bush polo holidays in Tanzania to potential clients and agents, as the first step towards making strong business gains in the region.

The company, which offers the ultimate spa retreat with year-round polo in the sun, as well as bush polo tournaments with luxury camp accommodation, has been attracted by Dubai`s reputation for international equestrian and polo events, and the emergence of a new specialised exhibition for equestrian industries and sports.

We`re looking to develop our business in the UAE and the rest of the Middle East, and the exhibition will be our first venture into the region, said Safari Spa`s director, Zsuzsa Bruins.

Polo is gaining popularity in the Middle East, and we feel that our unique polo holiday packages and exclusive lodge in the northern Tanzanian safari circuit, will be very attractive to the marketplace. We will also be offering a special introductory rate for polo holidays during the show.

Safari Spa offers guests two polo pitches high in the foothills of Kilimanjaro and Meru, and a choice of over 45 ponies, daily chukkas, and stick and ball with trained instructors on hand. Additional recreational facilities for non-players include a fully equipped fitness center, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, tennis court and tropical swimming pool.

Meanwhile, bush polo enthusiasts can enjoy a natural polo field in the heart of Tanzania`s national parks and game reserves, with accommodation in a luxury camp, and the opportunity to sample game viewing horseback rides and safari trips.

Safari Spa also organises corporate bush polo events, where companies can combine excellent polo facilities in one of the most spectacular settings in the northern Tanzanian safari circuit, with luxury camping.

The Equestrian Show, which reaches its conclusion at Nad Al Sheba on the eve of the Dubai World Cup, the world`s richest horse race, is organised by Streamline Marketing in conjunction with Dubai Racing Club.

The timing of the exhibition capitalises on the global appeal of the Dubai World Cup, and the opening that existed for an event capable of bringing together major equestrian suppliers with an international clientele.

The Equestrian Show`s international line-up of exhibitors will also include art galleries, artists, auctioneers, blood stock agents, polo suppliers, stud farm owners and trainers, and manufacturers and suppliers of a huge range of products, from equestrian buildings to event equipment, forage, horse boxes, livery, riding equipment. Visitors will include top Arabian and thoroughbred owners and breeders, leading endurance and show jumping figures, as well as polo and equestrian suppliers and buyers, trainers and jockeys.
