Moscow Domodedovo Airport summed up its results for November and the first 11 Months of 2014

The international passenger traffic for 11 months of 2014 amounted to 16.78 million people.

In January-November 2014, Moscow Domodedovo Airport passenger traffic amounted to 30.93 million people, which is already more than for 12 months of the last year. The year-on-year increase made 7.8%. Only in the last autumn month, Moscow Domodedovo Airport rendered services to 2.24 million passengers, which is 5.4% more than in November 2013. The number of flights increased by 1.7% y-o-y to make 20,827 take-off and landing operations. In total, 257,201 flights were operated from January to November of 2014, and it is 6.1% more y-o-y. On the average, one aircraft takes off or lands at Moscow Domodedovo Airport every minute and a half, and it makes 770 take-off and landing operations per day.

In November, domestic passenger traffic demonstrated the greatest growth – plus 19.2% compared to November 2013 – and reached almost 1.16 million people. The total number of passengers traveling across Russia during the period from January to November 2014 increased by 21.7% compared to the data for 11 months of 2013. The largest increase was registered in the following destinations: Simferopol, Sochi, Omsk, Kaliningrad, Ufa. The passenger traffic here amounted to 2.78 million people, which is 2.5 times more yoy. According to statistics, the main driver of performance increase in this segment was the passenger traffic to the Crimea: only the Simferopol destination has increased its air traffic almost fourfold.

The international passenger traffic for 11 months of 2014 amounted to 16.78 million people. The highest growth is registered on the following international routes: Hurghada, Sharm El Sheikh, Kishinev, Larnaca, Verona. In January-November 2014, 2.7 million passengers were transported on these routes which means an increase by 69.2% y-o-y.

Moscow Domodedovo Airport cargo traffic in the January-November of 2014 amounted to more than 169 thousand tons.
