ijVENUES: Amsterdam’s first Music & Conference city live from November 4.
On November 4 this year, a new event & conference location will be launched in Amsterdam ijVENUES. The location, which offers more than 30000 sq. ft of possibilities, is a welcome addition in this capacity to Amsterdam and in particular to the Eastern Docklands (Oostelijk havengebied). ijVENUES is an initiative by four inspiring entertainment and hospitality organizations on the shores of the IJ: Bimhuis, Movenpick Hotel Amsterdam City Centre, Passenger Terminal Amsterdam (PTA) and the Muziekgebouw aan ‘t IJ. The result is a unique and multifunctional event location, within walking distance from the historical city center. ijVENUES is the first Music & Conference city with its own hotel!
On November 4 this year, the four involved directors will officially open the location. The location offers room for various types of events; from private to business, from music events to meetings. With more than 20 meeting rooms, 30000 sq. ft in surface area, a hotel with 408 rooms and different F&B outlets and catering options, ijVENUES offers guests the best possible experience, overlooking the IJ and within a stone’s throw from Amsterdam Central Station. ‘From our location, it already involved healthy collaboration between the four parties. But the market and our internal organizations signaled, to an increasing extent, that solid collaboration, in the form of a one-stop-shop, would be even more beneficial. The current market benefits from the speed and one central communication point, the organizations benefit from the creation of an effective and efficient working method, which doesn’t require one to constantly reinvent the wheel’, says Albert Rouwendal, Director of the Movenpick Hotel.
The ijVENUES website is still under construction, but will be launched officially on November 4, under the attention of media and business relations.
