Mallorca's leading tailor-made travel service welcomes Vueling Airlines new flights from London heathrow to Mallorca.
MALLORCA – Balearic Discovery, Mallorca’s leading tailor-made travel service, welcomed news from Spain’s Vueling Airlines that it will commence new daily flights to Palma from London’s Heathrow Airport at the end of the March 2013.
New Director of Balearic Discovery, Joanne Henson said, “This is fantastic news for the island, its essential to have regular flights that connect Mallorca to Heathrow that have a business class style offering. Currently there are no scheduled flights from London’s leading airport so we’re delighted that clients now have an even wider offering of flight options for the summer months. With the sensible departure times and competitive pricing for a service that’s comparable to scheduled airlines this is a real boost for Mallorca’s higher end tourism.”
Joanne, who is Managing Director of the eight year old Mallorcan’ specialist travel service, purchased the business from Jane Stanbury and Anthony Quayle in October this year. Looking to the 2013 season Joanne is planning to offer a wider range of high end exclusive villas, broaden the client base both from the UK and further afield and expand the existing service provision to attract more family and corporate clients.
“Next year we’ll be featuring a greater variety of attractive villas and hotels. Mallorca is as popular as ever owing to it’s proximity to the rest of Europe and the safe environment, so we recommend booking early,” says Joanne.
Jane Stanbury and Anthony Quayle the original founders of Balearic Discovery are now moving on to pursue other projects. Jane is focusing on PR activity with a senior role in UK based aviation public relations company Emerald Media, whilst Anthony is developing his aviation and travel related photography business. One of Emerald’s long standing clients in the UK is Vueling.
Vicky is the co-founder of TravelDailyNews Media Network where she is the Editor-in Chief. She is also responsible for the daily operation and the financial policy. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Tourism Business Administration from the Technical University of Athens and a Master in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Wales.
She has many years of both academic and industrial experience within the travel industry. She has written/edited numerous articles in various tourism magazines.
