NEW YORK – Following the success of flagship travel site Off2Colombia.com, entrepreneurs Josian Chevallier and Mickael Couturier have decided to expand their growing Off2Travels business by launching Off2Brazil.com.
The new project will utilize the same formula that has made Off2Colombia.com the most important and popular online travel guide in Colombia: Up-to-date information through their community and local collaborators, great photos and videos to promote destinations, detailed focus on off-the-beaten-track destinations, in-depth city guides like the one for Rio de Janeiro and a blog written by expats in the country.
The new website will also see Off2Travels expand their social media outreach by placing a greater emphasis on social media and the online community. Users will be encouraged to interact on the website using the travel guide’s unique comments system and forum, as well as following all the hints and tips that Off2Brazil will offer their followers on both Twitter and Facebook.
While Brazil may not be as undiscovered as Colombia, Couturier, who moved to Rio de Janeiro one year ago to begin researching the project, believes that with Off2Travel’s unique visuals and focus on off-the-beaten track destinations, readers of Off2Brazil.com will find plenty they didn’t know about the country. A good example is their new Rio de Janeiro off-the-beaten tracks section, which include the infamous Favela Tours or the lesser known architectural gem of Quinta de Boa Vista.
It’s not just off-the-beaten track destinations that will benefit from Off2Travels’ unique formula, either. With their comprehensive video guides to destinations such as Rio de Janeiro, Off2Brazil.com will allow curious travellers to get a taste of the country before they set foot on Brazilian soil.
The Off2Travel team’s latest project will seek to emulate the success of travel site Off2Colombia.com and, as their network and community continues to grow with the recent association with Tourismchile.com and Tourismargentina.com, there’s no doubt that very soon their guides could become the go-to websites for information about travel in South America.
