Orange Collection (Solomon's Guide) lunches first print edition under new branding

The new DL-size guidebook fits snugly on the busiest of desks and lists all our venues in a clean and modern layout.

Formerly known as Solomon’s Guide, Orange Collection is Southern Africa’s longest running travel guide with more than 40 annual editions published since 1971. In this newest edition, Orange Collection has launched a fresh look to go with its streamlined focus on properties for the MICE trade and group travel.

Ian Solomon, CEO of Moja Media, says: “The new format of Orange Collection reflects Moja Media’s other stalwart brand, Portfolio Collection, which my partner James Delaney and I bought last year. We wanted to make it younger, fresher and more relevant to specific areas of the travel industry where we have identified a gap in the market.”

The Solomon’s Guide iPad app was the first accommodation app in South Africa. Our new Orange Collection app allows for offline browsing and online booking. Smartphone versions of the app will be available for iPhone, Android, Windows and Blackberry in February 2014.

Orangecollection.co.za is company’s slick, frequently updated website that mirrors all the information in the guidebook, as well as carrying additional images, information and booking tools, giving you the option to make live bookings directly or enquiries through our online reservation system.

Ian says: “My father built the foundation of Solomon’s Guide on his years spent travelling around the country and personally visiting many of these venues. As successful as it has been, the time is now right to update the brand. I have no doubt that this is a step in the right direction for Orange Collection, and I look forward to where we’ll be taking the brand in 2014.”
