Record growth drives Priority Pass beyond milestone of 900+ lounges

Priority Pass network now includes access to over 900 lounges globally. Priority Pass has added over 170 lounges to its program in the last 12 months.

LONDON – Priority Pass announces that its network of partner-operated lounges now totals over 900. This follows Priority Pass’ strongest year of growth so far in 2016, having added 51 lounges to the program between January and April, something that has seen the network acquire new global partners in key regions.

A major contributor to this growth is Priority Pass’ continued success in Asia Pacific, where 24 lounges have been added to its network since January 2016 alone and over 80 lounges since the previous January. This includes 60 based in China, as well as the growing economic hubs of Cambodia, Indonesia, Taiwan and Thailand, as well as New Zealand.

Priority Pass has also strengthened its foothold in another key market, Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), where 22 lounges have been added to its network. Since April 2015 over 30 new lounges have been added in Russia, 7 key locations have been added in the Middle East with further high profile additions in France and Ukraine. In the United States, Priority Pass has added a further 10 lounges to the program, in strategically significant locations such as New York JFK, San Francisco and Orlando.

Stephen Simpson, Global Marketing Director for Priority Pass, part of the Collinson Group, added: “Over the last year we have witnessed faster expansion in the number of lounges available to members than ever before. Today’s major milestone, reaching 900+ lounges, is testament to the hard work of the team, who have remained focussed on ensuring all Priority Pass members have access to the best and largest network of lounges across the globe.”

“In addition to expanding the size and quality of the network, we remain dedicated to aligning the Priority Pass brand to reflect the changing needs and expectations of the frequent flyer. Our conversations with customers have taught us that today’s frequent travelers want a more holistic travel experience – that’s why we developed a range of offers which extend beyond the lounge, including the addition of new golf, travel and car rental offers. Since our brand refresh in October 2015 we have made our broadest product improvements to date, including the launch of a new website, smartphone app and the unveiling of Digital Membership Cards, offering simple and speedy access to most lounges in the program.”

Priority Pass continues to have the largest lounge portfolio of any independent provider.
