Serko appoints experienced travel industry professional to lead joint Booking.com partnership initiative

Jonathan Starkings is an experienced travel technology executive who previously held roles as Senior Director of Travel, EMEA at Groupon, Commercial Director at Expedia Group (Orbitz) and Digital Marketing and Revenue Director at Langham Hotels.

Serko Limited announced that it has appointed Jonathan Starkings as Head of Booking.com Partnership to lead the initiative to develop and bring to market the Zeno solution with Booking.com for Business.

Jonathan is an experienced travel technology executive who previously held roles as Senior Director of Travel, EMEA at Groupon, Commercial Director at Expedia Group (Orbitz) and Digital Marketing and Revenue Director at Langham Hotels.

He will lead the multi-functional team at Serko across design, product and technology that is working hard to bring innovative solutions to the SME business travel market with Booking.com.

Serko CEO Darrin Grafton commented, “Having Jonathan join our leadership team is a fantastic step in our journey to bring Zeno to the global SME business travel market in partnership with the Booking.com team. His experience brings a depth of knowledge and industry experience that helps us bridge the world between business travel and online retailing.”

As announced in October 2019, Booking Holdings took a cornerstone stake in Serko and signed commitments to expand its existing agreement with Serko so that Booking.com can offer and promote Zeno to its business traveler customers. Jonathan’s appointment is a key milestone in Serko’s plans to scale the organization to maximize the opportunity this initiative presents, with the first Booking.com for Business customers expected to be live on the platform in the next few months.
