Site 'Celebrates the World of Motivational Experiences' in Orlando, Florida

Throughout the event, 7-10 December at the Loews Portofino Bay Hotel at Universal Orlando, Site and conference host Visit Orlando will showcase the best of Orlando motivational experiences with entertainment extravaganzas and numerous tour options.

Last weekend, Site welcomed 400 motivational events and incentive travel professionals representing more than 250 industry organizations from 47 countries to celebrate “40 Years Forward” in spectacular fashion at the Site Global Conference 2013. Throughout the event, 7-10 December at the Loews Portofino Bay Hotel at Universal Orlando, Site and conference host Visit Orlando will showcase the best of Orlando motivational experiences with entertainment extravaganzas and numerous tour options.

“On the eve of the Site Global Conference I am excited to see how this event has attracted members and delegates from all over the world to gain knowledge and insight, to network and build business opportunities and, of course, have an amazing time celebrating Site’s 40th year of excellence,” shared David Sand, Site President 2013. “We have realized our vision to have the conference be a true representation of our global membership in delegate attendance and diversity of content and engagement.”

Cameron Herold, author of the best-selling business book Double Double and one of the most sought-after business minds in North America, is the opening keynote speaker. Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) CEO Christine Duffy will present a second keynote speech, “Current State of the Cruise Industry and Its Strategic Efforts with the Meetings, Events and Incentives Industry.” The unprecedented educational program, with more than twice the total hours of learning as last year, includes four concurrent tracks of sessions as well as a Cruising and Incentives Certificate Course and an Incentive Project Management Certificate Course.

During the conference, Site will recognize and honor the contributions of Site’s Past Presidents and introduce the formation of the Site Past Presidents’ Council. Twenty-five Past Presidents attending the Conference will jointly present the first Richard Ross Past Presidents’ Award for Outstanding Service to the Incentive Travel Industry. The award, named in honor of Site’s ninth president, who died in the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks in New York City, recognizes an individual or organization that has furthered the vision, ideals and ethics of Site.

Other conference highlights include a luncheon, sponsored by IMEX, to announce the 2013 Site Crystal Award recipients and a final night gala event during which Site will present its annual Chapter of the Year and Chapter Excellence Awards.

“As the premier event where ‘the world of incentive travel and motivational events meets,’ this year’s conference will honor and celebrate Site’s past while also preparing us for the future,” stated Kevin Hinton, Chief Staff Officer for Site and the Site International Foundation. “Site members are experiencing a recovery first-hand in the incentive sector, and those present in Orlando will be able to make critical connections in order to sustain this success into 2014 and beyond.”
