SINGAPORE – Travel search site Skyscanner has announced three new offices as part of ambitious development plans and forecasts of further accelerated growth.
The expansion brings Skyscanner up to ten global offices, a five-fold increase in just three years, and includes the official launch of two dedicated engineering hubs; one in the Bulgarian capital of Sofia and the second in London’s Moorgate. A new, larger mobile-focussed office in Budapest was also unveiled.
The move is part of an expansion of engineering resources worldwide for Skyscanner, which saw a 77% increase in mobile visitors and a 42% increase in revenue to £93m in 2014. With over 160 new roles created in 2015 alone, the existing engineering team makes up almost half of Skyscanner’s total staff. The engineering team is set to grow further as part of a large-scale recruitment campaign, with 115 roles currently open in Skyscanner’s European offices alone.
The news comes with the appointment of Bryan Dove as Senior Vice President of Engineering, who will lead Skyscanner’s global engineering teams. Dove, formerly Director of Engineering at Amazon’s S3, will also head up the London hub.

Skyscanner now has offices in Barcelona, Beijing, Budapest, Edinburgh, Glasgow, London, Miami, Shenzhen, Singapore and Sofia. It employs over 700 people.
